Jamie Hutchings is a motivational speaker and stay at home mother of three. She lives in Queen Creek, Arizona with her husband and three children. She started writing her blog, Surviving The Bubble, in 2016 to share her story.
When Jamie was 9 years old, she was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood Leukemia. Surviving such a traumatic event did not come without its side effects. As a teenager, Jamie began to suffer with PTSD, survivor’s guilt and severe depression. By the age of 18 she was planning on taking her own life.
Jamie began sharing her story and speaking to youth and women to help others feel not so alone. Today she speaks at two firesides and conferences per month to do just that.
Jamie is passionate about her fight with mental health. In the United States, 1 in 4 people is struggling with some form of mental illness. Jamie wants all those struggling to know that through faith and love of the Savior, Jesus Christ, they can know that they are not alone. Her love for her Savior and knowing that He loves her is the very reason she continued on in her own journey.
Jamie’s favorite quote is by Ernest Hemingway, and he says “We are all broken, that’s how the light gets in.” Jamie has made it her personal mission to help show as many as she can that our “light” is the Savior, Jesus Christ, and that through Him, we can all be healed.
